The feast of our patron saint, St. Lawrence the Martyr, falls on Monday, August 10th.  He is one of the most striking examples in the early centuries of the Church's life of Christian fidelity, courage, and care for the least among our sisters and brothers.  As a parish family, we are privileged to enjoy the patronage and heroic example of this extraordinary man--a deacon of the church of Rome, who willingly sacrificed his life in the 3rd century.

We are also privileged to have a relic of St. Lawrence, and all those attending Mass on August 10th will be blessed with it.

May the prayerful intercession of our patron saint continue to fortify our hearts with the love of the Lord!
